sign
number property of being positive or negative
±
mathematical symbol: ±
plus and minus signs
mathematical symbols used to represent the notions of positive and negative as well as the operations of addition and subtraction; mathematical symbols that specify sign of a number
signed zero
zero with an associated sign
angular displacement
displacement measured angle-wise when a body is showing circular or rotational motion
parity of a permutation
group homomorphism from the symmetric group over a finite set to the two-element group {±1}
signed measure
generalized notion of measure in mathematics
sign bit
bit indicating the sign of a number
Signed distance function
distance from a point to the boundary of a set
Signedness
In computing, signedness is a property of data types representing numbers in computer programs. A numeric variable is signed if it can represent both positive and negative numbers, and unsigned if it can only represent non-negative numbers (zero or positive numbers).
signed-digit representation
positional numeral system with signed digits; the representation may not be unique
