Hardbakke
Hardbakke () is the administrative centre of Solund Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. The village is located on the west side of the island of Sula, just across the strait from the island of Steinsundøyna. Hardbakke is located about halfway between the islet of Holmebåen and the village of Losnegard, the western- and easternmost points in the municipality. Hardbakke has an elementary school and a secondary school, as well as Solund Church.

Holmebåen
Holmebåen is a point on the tiny island of Steinsøy in an archipelago of small islands northwest of the Utvær islands in Solund Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. It lies about west of the village of Hardbakke. Holmebåen is the westernmost point in Norway proper (not counting the Jan Mayen island).

Sognesjøen
Sognesjøen is a strait in Vestland county, Norway. The strait is the outermost part of the large Sognefjorden. It runs along the border between Solund Municipality and Gulen Municipality. The long strait begins around the village of Rutledal on the mainland of Gulen at the mouth of the Sognefjorden. The strait then flows in a southwesterly direction into the North Sea, just north of the islands of Fedje Municipality. The Sognesjøen is surrounded by many large and small islands. The islands of Sula, Steinsundøyna, Ytre Sula lie along the northern side of the strait. The mainland and the islands

Steinsundøyna is an island in Solund Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. The sits on the north side of the Sognesjøen, at the mouth of the large Sognefjorden. The rocky island is virtually treeless (except in small, sheltered areas). In 2001, there were only about 55 residents on the island.
Utvær
Utvær is an island group in Solund Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. It is the westernmost archipelago in Norway. The main residential area on the rocky islands is also called Utvær. It lies on the western side of the Sognesjøen which is the mouth of the vast Sognefjorden. It is about west of the village of Hardbakke. The entire archipelago is protected as the Utvær nature reserve.
