It was originally released in 1997 in Japan, January 1998 in North America by Working Designs and June 1998 in PAL territories by Sony-owned Psygnosis. , fully titled Ehrgeiz: God Bless the Ring, is a 1998 fighting game developed by DreamFactory and published by Namco for arcades. It was developed as a partnership between Square and DreamFactory. It was ported to the PlayStation, where Square released it internationally while Sony Computer Entertainment published it in Japan, a direct inversion of the companies' usual publishing deal.
Patapon
is a 2007 rhythm video game developed by Pyramid and Japan Studio and published by Sony Computer Entertainment for the PlayStation Portable. The game's unique genre was described to be a combination of rhythm and strategy. Its concept and design were conceived when game designer Hiroyuki Kotani discovered the Patapon designs from French artist Rolito's personal website. The name Patapon was created by Rolito and was inspired by an old French song for children. Kotani chose the name because it sounded similar to marching and drumming. Helldivers (stylized in all caps) is a 2015 top-down shooter video game developed by Arrowhead Game Studios and published by Sony Computer Entertainment. The game was released for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation Vita (with cross-play) in March 2015. A version for Windows was also released on 7 December 2015, making it the first Sony-published game for personal computers since Twisted Metal 2 and Jet Moto in 1997. The story follows the Helldivers, a unit of shock troops mobilized to spread managed democracy and defend their way of life.
