Vesterålen
Vesterålen ( , ; ) is a district and archipelago in Nordland county, Norway. It is located just north of Lofoten and west of Harstad. It is the northernmost part of Nordland county. Sortland is the largest town, situated near the center of the archipelago. Vesterålen includes the municipalities of Andøy, Bø, Hadsel, Sortland, and Øksnes.

Hinnøya
Hinnøya (Norwegian; ) is the fourth-largest island in Norway, and the largest outside the Svalbard archipelago. The lies just off the western coast of Northern Norway. The island sits on the border of Nordland and Troms counties. Møysalen
Møysalen is a mountain in Nordland county, Norway. It is located on the border of Sortland Municipality and Lødingen Municipality. At tall, it is the highest mountain on the island of Hinnøya and the second highest mountain on any island in Norway. The mountain is located within Møysalen National Park, about straight east of the villages of Hennes and Kaldjorda in Hadsel Municipality.

Sortlandsundet
or () is a strait or sound in Sortland Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. It separates the islands of Langøya and Hinnøya and it connects the Hadselfjorden in the south and the Gavlfjorden in the north. The Sortland Bridge is the only bridge that crosses the long strait.
Gavlfjorden
Gavlfjorden is a fjord (more accurately, a sound) in Nordland county, Norway. The long fjord separates the large islands of Langøya and Andøya in the Vesterålen archipelago and it runs along the border of three municipalities: Øksnes, Andøy, and Sortland. In the north, the fjord flows out into the Norwegian Sea, and in the south, the fjord splits into the Sortlandssundet strait and the Risøysundet strait.
Forfjorden
Forfjorden is a fjord on the west side of the island of Hinnøya in the Vesterålen archipelago in Nordland county, Norway. The fjord lies along the border between Sortland Municipality and Andøy Municipality. The Norwegian County Road 82 follows the shoreline around the whole fjord. The coast around the Forfjorden has about 70 inhabitants. The fjord is located about northeast of the town of Sortland and about south of Andenes.
