Nordfjordeid
Nordfjordeid is the administrative centre of Stad Municipality in Vestland county, western Norway. It is located at the end of the Eidsfjorden, an arm of Nordfjorden, west of the large lake Hornindalsvatnet. The village of Nordfjordeid is a commercial hub and regional centre for the municipality and greater Nordfjord region. The village is a growing tourist destination.

Bryggja is a village in southwestern part of Stad Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. It is located on the mainland, along the northern shore of the Nordfjorden. The village is located about east of the urban areas of Måløy–Deknepollen–Tennebø in Kinn Municipality and it is about west of the village of Stårheim. The small village of Totland lies just west of Bryggja.

Stårheim
Stårheim (or Torvika) is a village in Stad Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. Stårheim is located in the central part of Stad Municipality on the north shore of the Nordfjorden, about west of the municipal center of Nordfjordeid and about east of the village of Kjølsdalen. There is a regularly scheduled ferry route from Stårheim to the small village of Isane (in Bremanger Municipality), located about south across the Nordfjorden.
Barmøya
Barmøya or Barmen is a small island in Stad Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. The island lies just off the mainland between the Stad peninsula and the island of Vågsøy. Most of the island's 50 or so residents live on the southern shore in a small village that is known as Barmen. There is a small car ferry that runs from Barmen to the mainland to the south. The eastern half of the island is made up of the tall mountain Skjolden.

Flatraket is a small village in Stad Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. The village is located about northeast of the town of Måløy (in Kinn Municipality), about northwest of the village of Håvik, and about southwest of the village of Selje. Flatraket has a good view of the island of Silda and the Stadlandet peninsula.
Vanylvsfjorden
Vanylvsfjorden is a fjord in western Norway, on the border of Vestland and Møre og Romsdal counties. The long fjord runs between the mainland of Vanylven Municipality and the Stad peninsula of Stad Municipality, with the islands of Sande Municipality lying in the mouth of the fjord. The inner part of the fjord branches into the Syltefjorden and Kjødepollen. The deepest part of the fjord reaches about below sea level, just northeast of the village of Borgundvåg.

Kjølsdalen
Kjølsdalen is a village in Stad Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. The village is located on the northern shore of the Nordfjorden, about west of the village of Stårheim and about east of the village of Bryggja. The village of Davik lies about across the fjord from Kjølsdalen (in neighboring Bremanger Municipality). The village is named after the Kjølsdalen valley in which it is located. Kjølsdalen Church is located in the village.
