Ryfylke
Ryfylke is a traditional district in the northeastern part of Rogaland county, Norway. The district, encompassing about 60% of the county's area is located northeast of the city of Stavanger and east of the city of Haugesund. It includes the mainland, which is northeast and east of the Boknafjorden and east of the Høgsfjorden. It also consists of the islands on the south side of the Boknafjorden. To the east, Ryfylke borders the districts of Setesdal and Sirdal, to the south is Jæren, and to the west is Haugalandet. Ryfylke is one of the 15 districts in Western Norway.

Suldalslågen
The Suldalslågen (or locally, Lågen) is a river that is located in Suldal Municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. The long river runs from the lake Suldalsvatnet to the southwest to the village of Sand where it empties into the Sandsfjorden. The Norwegian National Road 13 runs along the river, past the villages of Suldal and Sand.
Sandsfjord
Sandsfjorden is a fjord in Suldal Municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. The long fjord is the northernmost arm of main Boknafjorden in Rogaland county. It begins at the confluence of the Saudafjorden and Hylsfjorden, just north of the village of Sand and travels to the southwest reaching the island of Foldøyna, where the fjord joins the main Boknafjorden. The villages of Jelsa and Hebnes are located on either side of the mouth of the fjord.

It is located in the Ryfylkeheiane mountains at the tripoint border of three different counties (and three municipalities): Suldal Municipality in Rogaland county, Ullensvang Municipality in Vestland county, and Vinje Municipality in Telemark county. The mountain is the fourth tallest mountain in Telemark county, the second tallest in Rogaland county, but it is not even in the top 25 tallest mountains in Vestland county. Erfjorden is a fjord in Suldal Municipality and Hjelmeland Municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. The long fjord begins at the small village of Tysse in Suldal Municipality and heads south past the village of Hålandsosen before making a sharp turn to the west before emptying into the larger Nedstrandsfjorden. The Erfjord Bridge crosses the fjord, just north of Hålandsosen. The innermost part of the fjord (north of the bridge) is sometimes referred to as the Tyssefjorden.

Hylsfjorden is a fjord in Suldal Municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. The long fjord runs from the small area of Hylen to the west. It ends just north of the village of Sand where it joins the Saudafjorden and together they form the Sandsfjorden, an inner branch of the Boknafjorden. The Hylen Hydroelectric Power Station is located in the inner end of Hylsfjord. The fjord has relatively little development along its shores, only a few small hamlets, with Vanvik being the largest.
