Vinnufossen
Vinnufossen or Vinnufallet is one of the tallest waterfalls in Europe and the eighth-tallest in the world. The tall tiered horsetail waterfall is located just east of the village of Sunndalsøra in Sunndal Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The falls are part of the Vinnu river which flows down from the Vinnufjellet mountain and it is fed from the Vinnufonna glacier. The falls flow into the Driva river near the village of Hoelsand.
Sunndalsøra
is the administrative centre of Sunndal Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The village of Sunndalsøra lies at the mouth of the river Driva at the beginning of the Sunndalsfjord. Sunndalsøra is surrounded by steep mountains, such as Hårstadnebba, which reach elevations as high as . Some of these mountains around Sunndalsøra are used for BASE jumping.

Driva
The Driva river runs through Trøndelag and Møre og Romsdal counties in Norway. The headwaters lie in the Dovrefjell mountains in the south, from where it flows northward, downward through the Drivdalen valley in Oppdal Municipality. When the river gets to the village of Oppdal, it turns westward and heads down the Sunndalen valley to the Sunndalsfjorden at the village of Sunndalsøra in Sunndal Municipality. Some of the other villages along the river include Grøa, Hoelsand, Lønset, and Vognillan. The Norwegian National Road 70 follows the river for most of its course.
Innerdalstårnet
Innerdalstårnet (or Dalatårnet) is a tall mountain on the south side of the Innerdalen valley in Sunndal Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. It is located about southeast of the village of Ålvundeidet. The mountain is also known as the Matterhorn of Norway for its characteristic pyramidal shape.

Grøa is a village in Sunndal Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The village is located along the river Driva and along the Norwegian National Road 70, about east of Sunndalsøra and about east of Hoelsand. The Vinnufossen waterfall lies about west of the village.
Hoelsand
Hoelsand or Holssanden is a village in Sunndal Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The village is located along the river Driva, just west of the Vinnufossen waterfall. The village lies along the Norwegian National Road 70, about east of the village of Sunndalsøra and about west of the village of Grøa.

Storskrymten is a tall mountain in Norway. The top of the mountain is a tripoint for three counties and three municipalities: Oppdal Municipality (Trøndelag county), Sunndal Municipality (Møre og Romsdal county), and Lesja Municipality (Innlandet county). The nearest urban areas are the village of Sunndalsøra which is located about to the northwest, Dombås which is located about to the south, and Oppdal which is about to the northeast.

Skarfjellet
Skarfjellet is a tall mountain in Sunndal Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. It lies along the southern side of the Innerdalen valley, just west of the mountain Innerdalstårnet, and about northeast of the village of Sunndalsøra. It is the northern peak along the Trolla ridge where the highest point is Store Trolla at . The mountain is a popular rock climbing destination.
Dronningkrona
Dronningkrona is a tall mountain peak in Sunndal Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. It is one of the two peaks on the main mountain Vinnufjellet. Its neighbor peak is Kongskrona, which reaches higher. The peak is located just northeast of the village of Sunndalsøra and the Sunndalsfjorden.
Såtbakkollen
Såtbakkollen is a tall mountain in Sunndal Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. It is located in the Trollheimen mountain range, just north of the Sunndalen valley. It forms the southern end of the "Tårn massif", which also includes Tåga, Tårnfjellet, and the quite famous Innerdalstårnet. Other mountains nearby include Navardalsnebba, Trolla, and Skarfjellet.

Vinnufjellet
Vinnufjellet is an tall mountain in Sunndal Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. Vinnufjellet consists of the two peaks named Dronningkrona at and Kongskrona at . The names of the two peaks are translated as ''Queen's crown and King's crown''. The mountain is located just northeast of the village of Sunndalsøra and the Sunndalsfjorden. On the south side of the mountain, the Vinnufossen waterfall flows into the river Driva, just east of the village of Hoelsand.

Gjøra is a village in Sunndal Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The village is located along the river Driva in the inner part of the Sunndalen valley. The village sits about southwest of the municipal and county border with Oppdal Municipality in Trøndelag county. Norwegian National Road 70 runs through the village and Gjøra Chapel is also located here.
Sunndalsfjord
Sunndalsfjorden (sometimes Sunndalsfjord in English) is a fjord in Sunndal Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The long Sunndalsfjorden comprises the southern end of the main Tingvollfjorden. It begins at the Ballsneset peninsula, at the municipal boundary of Sunndal and extends south to the village of Sunndalsøra. Other villages along the fjord include Jordalsgrenda and Øksendalsøra. The main inflow of the fjord is the river Driva which flows into the fjord at Sunndalsøra. Norwegian National Road 70 runs along the northeastern part of the fjord near Sunndalsøra.

Innerdalen
Innerdalen is a valley in Sunndal Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. In 1967, the valley was established as Norway's first nature reserve. The valley and nature reserve begins at the village of Ålvundeidet by the Norwegian National Road 70 in the west and stretches approximately to the east to Innerdalsporten. It lies within the Trollheimen mountain range.
Kongskrona
Kongskrona is a tall mountain peak in Sunndal Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. It is the higher of the two peaks on the main mountain Vinnufjellet. Its neighbouring peak is Dronningkrona, which is about shorter. The name means ''King's crown in Norwegian (the neighboring peak Dronningkrona means Queen's crown'').

Romfo is a village in Sunndal Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The village is located along the river Driva in the Sunndalen valley. The Norwegian National Road 70 runs through the village which is most known as the site of Romfo Church. The village lies about east of the municipal centre of Sunndalsøra and about northwest of the village of Gjøra. Dovrefjell–Sunndalsfjella National Park lies about south of the village.

Ålvund is a village in Sunndal Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. It is located at the beginning of the Ålvundfjorden (an extension of the Trongfjorden, about northwest of the village of Ålvundeidet and the Innerdalen valley. The river Ålvundelva flows down the Innerdalen valley, through the village of Ålvundeidet, and empties into the fjord at the village of Ålvund. The Norwegian National Road 70 runs through Ålvund on its way from the village of Sunndalsøra north to the village of Tingvoll and on the town of Kristiansund.

Salhøa
Salhøa is a mountain in Dovrefjell–Sunndalsfjella National Park in Norway. The tall mountain is located on the border between Sunndal Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county and Lesja Municipality in Innlandet county. Salhøa is reached most easily by hiking from Grøvudalen in the north. There are three large surrounding mountains, all within , including the tall Grøvudalstinden to the west, the tall Steinkollen to the north, and the tall Storskrymten to the northwest. Other nearby mountains include Skuleggen to the east, Drugshøi to the southeast, and Lågvasstinden to the southwest.

Vassnebba
Vassnebba or Grånebba is a mountain on the border of Sunndal Municipality and Surnadal Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. It lies on the western border of the Trollheimen mountain range, just southwest of the Todalsfjorden and the village of Todalsøra and southeast of the village of Ålvund. The mountain is easily accessed from both sides, summer and winter.
