Snota is a prominent mountain in the Trollheimen mountain range in Surnadal Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. It is also the highest mountain in Surnadal Municipality. It lies to the west of the mountain Trollhetta and north of the mountain Neådalssnota.
Stangvik
Stangvik is a village in Surnadal Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The village is located along the Stangvikfjorden, about southwest of the villages of Surnadalsøra and Skei. The village lies in a small valley along the fjord, with the tall mountain Strengen lying just east of the village.
Trollhetta
Trollhøtta is a mountain on the border of Rindal Municipality in Trøndelag county and Surnadal Municipality in Møre og Romsdal counties in Norway. The tall mountain is part of the Trollheimen mountain range, just east of the lake Gråsjøen and the mountains Snota and Neådalssnota. To the south, across the valley Svartådalen, you see the mountains Geithetta and Svarthetta.

Gråsjøen

Gråsjøen is a lake/reservoir in Surnadal Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. A small section in the northeastern corner of the lake lies within Rindal Municipality, in Trøndelag county. The lake is located in the northern part of the Trollheimen mountain range. The lake is dammed and the water is used in the Gråsjø power station. The water flows out of the lake and into the lake Foldsjøen. Mount Snota lies just south of the lake.
Foldsjøen
Foldsjøen is a reservoir located on the border of Surnadal Municipality in Møre og Romsdal and Rindal Municipality in Trøndelag counties in Norway. The lake is dammed from the Folda River and the water is used in the Trollheim power station. Slightly more elevated and directly to the south is the Gråsjøen reservoir, which is also behind a hydro-power dam.
Todalsøra
Todalsøra or Todalen is a village in Surnadal Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The rather isolated village is located in the Todalen valley, at the end of the Todalsfjorden (the innermost part of the Stangvikfjorden). It is located about south of the villages of Surnadalsøra and Skei (the municipal centre of Surnadal). The village of Ålvund in Sunndal Municipality lies to the west, although there is no direct connections by road between the two villages due to large mountains. Todalen Church is located in this village.

Vassnebba
Vassnebba or Grånebba is a mountain on the border of Sunndal Municipality and Surnadal Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. It lies on the western border of the Trollheimen mountain range, just southwest of the Todalsfjorden and the village of Todalsøra and southeast of the village of Ålvund. The mountain is easily accessed from both sides, summer and winter.
Hamnesfjorden
Hamnesfjorden is a fjord in Surnadal Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The long fjord begins at the mouth of the Bøvra River at the village of Bøverfjorden, just east of the village of Åsskard, about northwest of the villages of Sylte, Skei, and Surnadalsøra. The fjord flows west into the main Trongfjorden. There are few settlements along the fjord due to the steep mountainsides along the fjord.
Neådalssnota
Neådalssnota is a mountain in the center of the Trollheimen mountain range. It lies in Surnadal Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The mountain Snota lies just to the north, just next to the lake Gråsjøen.
