(), known as in Northern Sami () and in Kven, is a town in Sør-Varanger Municipality in Finnmark county, in the far northeastern part of Norway. The town lies on a peninsula along the Bøkfjorden, an arm of the large Varangerfjorden, and is located just a few kilometres from the Norway–Russia border.

, , or is a fishing village in Sør-Varanger Municipality in Finnmark county in northeastern Norway. The village is situated along the Varangerfjorden which is a vast bay off the Barents Sea (a part of the Arctic Ocean), near the border with Russia. The village is situated some north of the Arctic Circle, with nearly 230 inhabitants. The village is populated by many Finnish-speaking residents, leading to the village being referred to as or "Little Finland".

Hesseng is a village in Sør-Varanger Municipality in Finnmark county, Norway. The village lies about south of the town of Kirkenes. The village of Hesseng lies at the intersection of the European route E105 and European route E6 highways. The other suburbs of Sandnes and Bjørnevatn lie just to the south of Hesseng. The village has a population (2023) of 1,636 and a population density of .

Bøkfjorden
or is a fjord in Sør-Varanger Municipality in Finnmark county, Norway. The long fjord is a southern branch off of the main Varangerfjord. The river Pasvikelva empties into the Bøkfjorden at the village of Elvenes (which lies only about from the Norway–Russia border. At this place the Bøkfjord Bridge is located, which crosses the river/fjord where they meet.

Skogerøya
or is an uninhabited island in Sør-Varanger Municipality in Finnmark county, Norway. The partially forested island lies south of Varangerfjorden, west of Bøkfjorden, north of Korsfjorden, and east of Kjøfjorden. The highest point on the island is the tall Skogerøytoppen. The island lies about northwest of the town of Kirkenes. It is used as a summer and autumn grazing area for reindeer.

Pasvikdalen () is a valley in Norway and Russia. The Norwegian side of the valley belongs to Sør-Varanger Municipality in Finnmark county and the Russian side is located in the Pechengsky District in Murmansk Oblast. The valley contains large areas of pine forests, and more than ) of the valley is included inside the Øvre Pasvik National Park in Norway (in the southern part of the valley). The Øvre Pasvik Landscape Protection Area is also located in the valley, outside of the park.

Ødevatnet
or is a lake located in Sør-Varanger Municipality in Finnmark county, Norway. The lake lies entirely within Øvre Pasvik National Park, to the southeast of the large lake Ellenvatnet. Unlike some other lakes in the area, it lies in a deep fault, giving it a long and narrow profile. The fault continues northeastwards, creating the Revsaksskaret cliff.

Sydvaranger AS (previously A/S Sydvaranger) is an iron ore mining company in Sør-Varanger Municipality, Norway. The mining operations have not restarted (as of Q1 2025). With an open-pit mine in Bjørnevatn, it has traditionally hauled the ore with the Kirkenes–Bjørnevatn Line to Kirkenes for processing and shipping.
Skafferhullet
Skafferhullet is a historical border crossing point along the Norway–Russia border (formerly it was on the Finland–Norway border and Soviet–Norway border). The border crossing site was located on the old road between Elvenes in Sør-Varanger Municipality, Finnmark county, Norway and Borisoglebsky in Murmansk Oblast, Russia. The station lies on the western shore of the Pasvikelva river.

or is the highest mountain on the island of Skogerøya in Sør-Varanger Municipality in Finnmark county, Norway. At tall, it is the fifth-highest point in the municipality. Skogerøytoppen lies on the northern part of the island, overlooking the large Varangerfjorden.
