Bharatanatyam
Bharatanatyam is an Indian classical dance form that comes from Tamil Nadu, India. It is a classical dance form recognized by the Sangeet Natak Akademi, and expresses South Indian religious themes and spiritual ideas, particularly of Shaivism and in general of Hinduism.

Jallikattu (or Sallikkattu), also known as Eru Taḻuvuṭal and Manju-virattu, is a traditional event in which a zebu bull (Bos indicus), such as the Pulikulam or Kangayam breeds, is released into a crowd of people, and many people attempt to grab the large hump on the bull's back with both arms and hang on to it while the bull attempts to escape. They hold the hump for as long as possible, attempting to bring the bull to a stop. In some cases, they must ride long enough to remove flags on the bull's horns or cross a finish line.

Parai also known as Thappattai or Thappu is a traditional percussion instrument from South India, used to make announcements and played during festivals, folk dances, weddings and functions. It is played predominantly by the Tamils in Tamil Nadu, and in other regions with significant Tamil diaspora such as Sri Lanka. Although there are many variants of the instrument, it generally consists of a drum made of wood, open on one side and closed with a stretched animal hide on the other side along with two wooden sticks used for beating the drum.

Valaikaappu (in Tamil: ) is a prenatal ceremony or celebration similar to a baby shower, practised as part of Tamil culture by South Indian women from Tamil Nadu and parts of Kanyakumari, as well as regions of Kerala bordering Tamil Nadu, meant to bless a pregnant woman, celebrate her fertility, and prepare the baby and mother-to-be for a safe birth. It is typically held at the 5th month and 7th month of the pregnancy by the mother side of the girl in her mother’s house. It is widely practiced among both the urban and rural populations of the region.

Aranjanam or Araijan Kodi or Molathadu (Malayalam: അരഞ്ഞാണം Tamil:அரைஞான் கயிறு) is a thin waist ornament often worn by infants and children in southern Asia, particularly in southern India, although many adults also choose to wear it. Aranjanam is usually made of gold or silver but can also be a red or black cotton thread tied around the waist. It is believed that wearing aranjanam protects against bad spirits and brings good luck. In the state of Tamil Nadu, it is known as 'Araijan Kodi' and in Kerala it is called 'Aranjana Charadu'.
