Taunsa, or Tonsa, is a city in the Punjab province of Pakistan. It is the capital of Taunsa District. It is located on the bank of the Indus River and is known for its agricultural and irrigational significance. The city is primarily inhabited by Saraiki speaking people, with a significant minority of Balochi speakers.
