Vulpicida
Vulpicida is a genus of lichenized fungi in the family Parmeliaceae. Circumscribed in 1993 to contain species formerly placed in Cetraria, the genus is widespread in Arctic to northern temperate regions, and contains six species. The genus is characterized by the presence of the secondary metabolites pulvinic acid and vulpinic acid, compounds that when combined with usnic acid, give the species their characteristic yellow and green colors.
Icmadophilaceae
The Icmadophilaceae are a family of lichen-forming fungi in the order Pertusariales. The family was circumscribed in 1993 by the mycologist Dagmar Treibel. It contains 9 genera and 35 species.
Cresponea
Cresponea is a genus of lichens in the family Opegraphaceae. The genus, circumscribed in 1993, contains species that were formerly classified in Lecanactis. Cresponea is widely distributed, but most species are found in tropical and subtropical regions. The genus is named in honor of the Spanish lichenologist Ana Crespo.

Cetrariella
Cetrariella is a genus of foliose lichens in the family Parmeliaceae. It contains three species.
Suessiales
Suessiales is an order of dinoflagellates.
Pelagophyceae
Pelagophyceae is a class of heterokont algae. It is the sister group of the Dictyochophyceae.
Adelococcaceae
The Adelococcaceae are a family of fungi in the order Verrucariales. Species are mostly found in north temperate regions, and are biotrophic or necrotrophic on lichens. The family was proposed by mycologist Dagmar Triebel in 1993.
Colpodellida

Symbiodiniaceae
Symbiodiniaceae is a family of marine dinoflagellates notable for their symbiotic associations with reef-building corals, sea anemones, jellyfish, marine sponges, giant clams, acoel flatworms, and other marine invertebrates. Symbiotic Symbiodiniaceae are sometimes colloquially referred to as Zooxanthellae, though the latter term can be interpreted to include other families of symbiotic algae as well. While many Symbiodiniaceae species are endosymbionts, others are free living in the water column or sediment.
Meliolinaceae
The Meliolinaceae are a family of fungi with an uncertain taxonomic placement in the class Dothideomycetes.
Llimoniella
Llimoniella is a genus of lichenicolous (lichen-dwelling) fungi in the family Cordieritidaceae. Species in the genus grow on other lichens as commensals, apparently without harming their hosts. They produce small, black, disc-like fruiting bodies that sit directly on the host lichen's surface.
Kimberleydillo
Kimberleydillo is a genus of woodlice belonging to the family Armadillidae. This genus was described in 1993 by Henri Dalens. The type specimen for this species is a Kimberleydillo waldockae from Tunnel Creek cave in Western Australia and it is the only species in this genus.
Manihinea
Manihinea is a genus of deep-water sea sponge in the Theonellidae family, first described by Gustavo Pulitzer-Finali in 1993. The generic description was emended in 2002 by Pisera and Lévi.
Bovicornua intricata
Bovicornua is a fungal genus in the family Halosphaeriaceae. It is a monotypic genus, containing the single species Bovicornua intricata, a marine fungus formally described as new to science in 1993 by mycologists Jørgen Koch and E.B. Gareth Jones. Bovicornua is distinguished from Ceriosporopsis (the genus from which it was separated) by the structural complexity of its ascospores.
Sigridea
Sigridea is a genus of lichenized fungi in the family Roccellaceae.
Barrowdillo
Barrowdillo is a genus of woodlice belonging to the family Armadillidae. This genus was described in 1933 by Henri Dalens. The type specimen for this species is a Barrowdillo pseudopyrgoniscus from Barrow Island (Western Australia), and it is the only species in this genus.
Minictena luteola
Minictena is a genus of comb jellies of the family Cydippidae. The genus was proposed by C. Carré & D. Carré in 1993. The only species is Minictena luteola.
Reclinomonas
Reclinomonas is a monotypic genus of jakobid eukaryotes containing the single species Reclinomonas americana.
Dinokaryota
Dinokaryota is a main grouping of dinoflagellates. They include all species where the nucleus remains a dinokaryon throughout the entire cell cycle, which is typically dominated by the haploid stage. All the "typical" dinoflagellates, such as Peridinium and Gymnodinium, belong here. Others are more unusual, including some that are colonial, amoeboid, or parasitic. Symbiodinium contains the symbiotic zooxanthellae.
Sinodillo
Sinodillo is a genus of woodlice belonging to the family Armadillidae. This genus was described in 1993 by Do Heon Kwon and Stefano Taiti. The type specimen for this species is S. troglophilus from Chinshui County in Yunnan Province, China. There are currently six species in this genus.
Prasinococcus
Prasinococcus is a monotypic genus of green algae, containing the only species Prasinococcus capsulatus, in the monotypic family Prasinococcaceae. This unicellular algal species was discovered in 1990 in the West Pacific Ocean and has characteristic reproduction methods as well as an interesting and potentially exploitable morphology. This is the only species in the genus, though various strains exist, for example URI 266G is the Atlantic clone.
Neocatapyrenium
Neocatapyrenium is a genus of squamulose lichens in the family Verrucariaceae. It has five species. The genus was circumscribed by Hiroshi Harada in 1993, with Neocatapyrenium cladonioideum assigned as the type species.
Latimerioidei

Polytolypa
Polytolypa is a monotypic genus of fungus containing the single species Polytolypa hystricis. First classified in the Onygenaceae family, as of 2008 it is considered to be in the Ajellomycetaceae, although there is still uncertainty as to its phylogenetic relationships with other similar genera. This species is only known from a single specimen derived in the laboratory from a specimen of dung of the North American porcupine, Erethizon dorsatum, collected in Ontario, Canada. Polytolypa hystricis contains bioactive compounds that have antifungal activity.
