Issyk-Kul
Issyk-Kul () or Ysyk-Köl ( ; ) is an endorheic saline lake in the western Tian Shan mountains in eastern Kyrgyzstan—just south of a dividing range separating Kyrgyzstan from Kazakhstan. It is the eighth-deepest lake in the world, the eleventh-largest lake in the world by volume, and the second-largest saline lake. It is located at an elevation of , making it the deepest lake whose deepest point is above sea level at . Despite the elevation and low temperatures during winter, it rarely freezes due to its high salinity.

Ala-Kul
Ala-Köl (, also Алакөл, ) is a rock-dammed lake on the northern slope of the Terskey Alatau mountain range in the Ak-Suu District of the Issyk-Kul Region in Kyrgyzstan. The lake is located in a narrow gorge on the right side of the Karakol Valley. The lake basin lies at an elevation of above sea level. A small stream flowing from a glacier feeds the lake. The lake is long and wide. Its area is . It belongs to the type of dammed lakes. Water from the lake seeps out under the natural dam and flows into the Karakol River.

The Ala-Archa (, also Аларча) is a river flowing through Alamüdün District of Chüy Region of Kyrgyzstan. It rises on the northern slopes of Kyrgyz Ala-Too and flows north to enter the river Chu in Chüy Valley. The Ala-Archa is long and has a basin area of . Its water comes mostly from glaciers and snow.

The Chong-Kemin () is a river in Kemin District of Chüy Region of Kyrgyzstan. It is a right tributary of the Chu in the Boom Gorge. The river originates from glaciers at the junction of the Küngöy and Trans-Ili Alatau ranges and flows in a latitudinal (east–west) direction through the narrow Chоng Kemin Valley.

The Joon-Aryk () is a river in Kochkor District of Naryn Region of Kyrgyzstan. It is formed by confluence of Kara-Kujur and Telek rivers. It is long, and has a drainage basin of . Its average annual discharge is 11.4 cubic meters per second. The Chu is formed by the confluence of Kochkor and Joon Aryk near the village Kochkor.

The Ysyk-Ata () is a river in Ysyk-Ata District of Chüy Region of Kyrgyzstan. The river rises on the north slopes of Kyrgyz Ala-Too and flows in north-north-east and north-east directions until confluence with its right tributary Tuyuk. Then the river flows northward entering the Chüy Valley. Ysyk-Ata is a left tributary of the Chu, the major watercourse of the valley.
