Trikala
Trikala () is a city in northwestern Thessaly, Greece, and the capital of the Trikala regional unit. The city straddles the Lithaios river, which is a tributary of Pineios. According to the Greek National Statistical Service, Trikala is populated by 62,064 inhabitants (2021), while the municipality of Trikala is populated by 78,605 inhabitants (2021).

Rizoma (, before 1927: Σκλάταινα - Sklataina) is a village in the Trikala regional unit, Thessaly, Greece. In the 2021 census it reported 790 residents. It lies at 160 meters above sea level, 12 km north of the city of Trikala. It has an agricultural economy with tobacco being the main product.

Faloreia () is a former municipality in the Trikala regional unit, Thessaly, Greece, named after the ancient city of Phaloria. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Trikala, of which it is a municipal unit. The municipal unit has an area of 76.329 km2. Its population was 3,376 in 2021. The seat of the municipality was in Kefalovryso.

The seat of the municipality was in Prinos.

Spathades () is a village and a community in the municipal unit of Paralithaioi in the Trikala regional unit, Greece. It is located 16 km north of the city of Trikala, and 8 km east of Kalabaka. The community includes the small village Agios Nikolaos.

Estiaiotida () is a former municipality in the Trikala regional unit, Thessaly, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform, it is part of the municipality Trikala, of which it is a municipal unit. The municipal unit has an area of 39.762 km2. Population 2,452 (2021). The seat of the municipality was in Megalochori. The municipality was named after Histiaeotis, an ancient district of Thessaly region.

Kallidendro () is a former municipality in the Trikala regional unit, Thessaly, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Trikala, of which it is a municipal unit. The municipal unit has an area of 21.833 km2. Population 1,956 (2021). The seat of the municipality was in Valtino. The name of the municipality comes from the greek words καλόν, kalòn + δέντρον, dendron, meaning "nice tree" for the numerous forests of the area.

Paralithaioi () is a former municipality in the Trikala regional unit, Thessaly, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Trikala, of which it is a municipal unit. The municipal unit has an area of 98.052 km2. Population 2,202 (2021). The seat of the municipality was in Rizoma. The name of the municipality comes from its geographical position, para, παρά + Lithaeos river (meaning "the people around the Lithaeos river).
