Tuberaceae
The Tuberaceae () are a family of mycorrhizal fungi, in the order Pezizales, that evolved during or after the first major adaptive radiation of Angiosperms in the Jurassic period (140–180 million years ago, Mya). It includes the genus Tuber, which includes the so-called "true" truffles. It was characterized by the Belgian botanist Barthélemy Charles Joseph du Mortier in 1822. A molecular study of ribosomal DNA by mycologist Kerry O'Donnell in 1997 found that a small clade now redefined as Helvellaceae is most closely related to the Tuberaceae. The mycologist Mary Cloyd Burnley Stifler studied

Geopora
Geopora is a genus of truffle-like fungi in the family Pyronemataceae, currently with 13 described species. The genus was circumscribed by mycologist Harvey Willson Harkness in 1885. Molecular phylogenetic reconstructions indicate that the cup-like apothecial Geopora should better be placed back in a separate genus, Sepultaria. Geopora would then only comprise Geopora cooperi and its close relatives.

Chamonixia
Chamonixia is a genus of truffle-like fungi in the family Boletaceae. The genus is widely distributed, especially in temperate regions, and contains eight species. Chamonixia was circumscribed by French mycologist Léon Louis Rolland in 1899.

Choiromyces
Choiromyces is a genus of truffle-like fungi in the Tuberaceae family. The genus is widespread and contains eight species.

Amylascus
Amylascus is a genus of truffle-like fungi in the Pezizaceae family. The genus, which contains two species found in Australasia, was circumscribed by mycologist James Trappe in 1971.
Chondrogaster
Chondrogaster is a genus of truffle-like fungi in the Mesophelliaceae family. The genus, described by French mycologist René Maire in 1926, contains two species, the type Chondrogaster pachysporus, and Chondrogaster angustisporus, described in 2000. Collectively, Chondrogaster is found in Mauritania, Brazil, and Europe.
Fischerula
Fischerula is a genus of two truffle-like fungi in the family Morchellaceae. First described from central Italy by Oreste Mattirolo in 1928, the genus name honors Swiss mycologist Eduard Fischer. The type species Fischerula macrospora is known only from Italy, while Fischerula subcaulis is found in coniferous and mixed forests of Oregon and Washington.

Genabea
Genabea is a genus of fungus in the family Pyronemataceae. The genus contains five species, and the type species is Genabea fragilis, a mycorrhizal truffle-like fungus found in Europe and North America.
Hydnocystis
Hydnocystis is a genus of truffle-like fungi in the family Pyronemataceae. A number of species in this genus have been transferred to other genera, and as of 2017, only two are undisputedly a part of this genus, H. piligera and H. japonica. Stephensia is treated by some as a synonym of this genus.
Dingleya
Dingleya is a genus of truffles in the Tuberaceae family. The genus contains seven species found in Australia. Circumscribed by James Trappe in 1979, the genus is named after New Zealand mycologist Joan Dingley.

Reddellomyces
Reddellomyces is a genus of truffle-like fungi in the Tuberaceae family. The genus, circumscribed in 1992, contains four species found in Australasia and the Mediterranean.
Gummiglobus
Gummiglobus is a genus of truffle-like fungi in the Mesophelliaceae family. The genus contains two Australian species described as new to science in 1996. The species, G. agglutinosporus and G. joyceae, "have columellae with wedge-shaped to digitate or strand-like projections that extend to the endocutis of the peridium and are embedded in a remarkable gummy tissue".
Mesophellia
Mesophellia is a genus of truffle-like fungi in the Mesophelliaceae family. The genus contains about 15 species that are found in Australia. Mesophellia was circumscribed by Miles Joseph Berkeley in 1857.
