Zugspitze
The Zugspitze ( , ; ), at above sea level, is the highest peak of the Wetterstein Mountains and the highest mountain in Germany. It lies south of the town of Garmisch-Partenkirchen in Bavaria, and the Austria–Germany border is on its western summit. South of the mountain is the Zugspitzplatt, a high karst plateau with numerous caves. On the flanks of the Zugspitze are two glaciers, the largest in Germany: the Northern Schneeferner with an area of 30.7 hectares and Höllentalferner with an area of 24.7 hectares. Shrinking of the Southern Schneeferner led to the loss of glacier status in 2022.

Dobratsch (; Slovenian: Dobrač) or the Villacher Alps (, Slovenian: Beljaščica) is a mountain range in the Carinthia region of Austria. Its peak is above sea level and it is a protected natural park. It forms the foothills of the Gailtal Alps and is immediately west of the town of Villach.

Nordkette
The Nordkette, also variously called the North Chain, Northern Range, rarely the Inn Valley Range or Inn Valley Chain (Inntalkette), is a range of mountains just north of the city of Innsbruck in Austria. It is the southernmost of the four great mountain chains in the Karwendel. To the west it is linked by the Erl Saddle to the Erlspitze Group, to the east via the Stempeljoch saddle () to the Gleirsch-Halltal Range. To the south it is bounded by the Inn valley. Its highest summit is the Kleiner Solstein () in the west of the range.

Wetterspitzen
The Wetterspitzen are three of the rocky peaks on a mountain ridge in the Wetterstein mountains in the central part of the Eastern Alps in Germany. They lie two kilometres, as the crow flies, southwest of Germany's highest peak, the Zugspitze, on the border between the Austrian province of Tyrol and the German state of Bavaria. The Wetterspitzen form the southwest perimeter of the Zugspitze ledge (Zugspitzplatt); below and to the east is the ski region on the Schneeferner with its research station, the Schneefernerhaus.

Kaltwasserkarspitze
The Kaltwasserkarspitze is a mountain in the Hinterautal-Vomper Chain and, at m, is the fourth highest peak in the Karwendel mountains in Austria after the Birkkarspitze, Middle and Eastern Ödkarspitze. The Kaltwasserkarspitze is the eastern neighbour of the Birkkarspitze, its rugged summit dropping in a steep rock face to the valley of Kleiner Ahornboden. Weißeck
The Weißeck () is the highest mountain in the Radstadt Tauern range in Austria and is popular, both as a ski touring destination in winter and a climbing peak in summer. The Urbeleskarspitze is a 2,632-metre-high mountain peak in the Allgäu Alps. Hochobir
Hochobir, with its peak at 2,139 m (7,018 ft), is the highest mountain in the Obir massif, located in the northern Karawanks range. Other notable peaks are Kuhberg (), Kleinobir (), Vielspitz (), and Altberg (). In the eastern part of the massif, there are the Obir dripstone caves, developed into show caves, and in the northern part, the Wildenstein Waterfall. From 1891 until its destruction in World War II, the summit housed the Hannwarte meteorological station. The 500 kg summit cross on Hochobir is made of metal, standing 7 meters high and 3 meters wide. It was erected in 1972.
