Ruslana Lyzhychko
Ruslana Stepanivna Lyzhychko (, ; born 24 May 1973), known mononymously as Ruslana, is a Ukrainian singer, songwriter, producer, activist and former politician. She is a World Music Award and Eurovision Song Contest winning recording artist, holding the title of People's Artist of Ukraine. She is also a former MP serving as deputy in the Ukrainian parliament (Verkhovna Rada) for the Our Ukraine Party. Ruslana was the UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador in Ukraine in 2004–2005. Irina Volodymyrivna Ossaoulenko (; born June 9, 1968), better known by her stage name Russya (), is a Ukrainian singer, and musician. She released her first song ''Don't stand by My Window'' in 1989. Russya had Top 10 hits on the Ukrainian charts in the late 1980s, and through the early and mid 1990s. She was a two-time winner in Best Female Artist of Ukraine in 1990 and 1991. Russya retired from recording pop music in 1997 but continued to tour (sometimes with her sister, Natasha Koroleva) until 1999. In 2007, she returned to recording with an album "The Best of Russya".
