Hardangerfjord
The Hardangerfjord () is the fifth longest fjord in the world and the second longest fjord in Norway. It is located in the Hardanger region of Vestland county in western Norway. The fjord stretches from the Atlantic Ocean into the mountainous interior of Norway along the Hardangervidda plateau. The innermost point of the fjord reaches the town of Odda.

Hardangerjøkulen () is the sixth largest glacier in mainland Norway. It is located in Eidfjord Municipality and Ulvik Municipality in Vestland county. It is located about northeast of the village of Eidfjord, about south of the village of Finse, and about west of the village of Haugastøl.
Finse
Finse is a mountain hamlet in Ulvik Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. The small settlement is located along the lake Finsevatnet and it is centered around Finse station, a railway station on the Bergen Line. The station is the highest station of the Norwegian railway system at an elevation of above sea level. As it is not reachable by road, and as the municipality is not otherwise connected by rail, Finse is not easily accessible from the rest of Ulvik Municipality (or from elsewhere in the Hardanger region). Finsevatnet
Finsevatnet is a lake in Ulvik Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. The lake lies just south of the village of Finse where Finse Station on the Bergen Line is located. The Finse Tunnel is located just north of the lake. The southeast side of the lake has a dam which regulates the depth of the lake for the purposes of hydro-electric power generation.

Flakavatnet
Flakavatnet is an alpine lake on the border of Vestland and Buskerud counties in Norway. The lake lies in Ulvik Municipality (in Vestland) and Hol Municipality (in Buskerud) and the lake lies entirely within the Hallingskarvet National Park. The village of Finse lies about southwest of the lake.

Togavatnet
Togavatnet is a lake in Ulvik Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. The lake lies on the south side of the Bergen Line railway as it crosses the Hardangervidda plateau. It sits at an elevation of above sea level. The railway had its summit here, at above sea level, until the Finse Tunnel was built which led to the closure of the route past the lake on 16 May 1993. After the tunnel opened, the highest point on the line became above sea level, at kilometre 306.90 inside the tunnel.
Flåmselvi
Flåmselvi or Moldo is a long river in Vestland county, Norway. The river begins as runoff from the Omnsbreen glacier about northwest of Finse in Ulvik Municipality. The river is known as the Moldo river in this area. It then flows through a series of lakes heading to the northwest where it crosses into Aurland Municipality. The Bergen Line follows the river to Myrdal. At Myrdal, the river goes over the Kjosfossen waterfall and it follows Flåmsdalen valley and heads to the north.
