Caulerpa
Caulerpa is a genus of seaweeds in the family Caulerpaceae (among the green algae). They are unusual because they consist of only one cell with many nuclei, also known as coenocytic or siphonous algae, making them among the biggest single cells in the world.

Acetabularia
Acetabularia is a genus of green algae in the family Polyphysaceae. Typically found in subtropical waters, Acetabularia is a single-celled organism, but gigantic in size and complex in form, making it an excellent model organism for studying cell biology. In form, the mature Acetabularia resembles the round leaves of a nasturtium, is tall and has three anatomical parts: a bottom rhizoid that resembles a set of short roots; a long stalk in the middle; and a top umbrella of branches that may fuse into a cap. Unlike other giant unicellular organisms, which are multinucleate, members of this genus

Ulothrix

Monostroma
Monostroma is a genus of marine green algae (seaweed) in the family Monostromataceae. As the name suggests, algae of this genus are monostromatic (single cell layered). Monostroma kuroshiense, an algae of this genus, is commercially cultivated in East Asia and South America for the edible product "hitoegusa-nori" or "hirohano-hitoegusa nori", popular sushi wraps. Monostroma oligosaccharides with degree of polymerization 6 prepared by agarase digestion from Monostroma nitidum polysaccharides have been shown to be an effective prophylactic agent during in vitro and in vivo tests against Japanese
Avrainvillea
Avrainvillea is a genus of green algae in the family Dichotomosiphonaceae.
Derbesia
Derbesia is a genus of green algae in the family Derbesiaceae. The plant was originally known from different names applied to its larger sporophyte, Derbesia, and its less conspicuous gametophyte, Halicystis. Derbesia was successfully cultured in the laboratories of German phycologist Peter Kornmann to learn that both it and the plant Halicystis were different parts of the life cycle of the same organism.

Cephaleuros
Cephaleuros is a genus of thalloid green algae comprising approximately 14 species. Its common name is red rust. Cephaleuros species are parasitic algae which grow within vascular plants, typically within the subtropics or tropics.
Bolbocoleon
Bolbocoleon is a genus of green algae, in the family Bolbocoleonaceae.

Dichotomosiphon
Dichotomosiphon is a genus of green algae in the family Dichotomosiphonaceae. This genus is distinguished from all other members of the Bryopsidales by its oogamous reproduction and freshwater habitat. In both vegetative and reproductive aspects, it is remarkably similar to the genus Vaucheria, which is a member of the unrelated class Xanthophyceae.
Acicularia
Acicularia is an extinct genus of green algae in the family Dasycladaceae.
