Satterthwaite is a small village (and civil parish) with around 50 dwellings situated in Grizedale, a valley in the Lake District, England, about four miles south of Hawkshead. It has a church, All Saints', and a Parish Room. The civil parish of Satterthwaite has its own community website. In the 2001 census the parish had a population of 257, decreasing at the 2011 census to 215. The population peaked in 1881 at 450 and has since gradually declined to the current day. Kirkbampton is a village and civil parish on the B5307 road in the English county of Cumbria. The parish population taken at the 2011 census was 482. It is near the city of Carlisle. It has a church called St Peter's Church, and a primary school (St. Peters CofE School). The parish includes the villages/hamlets of Kirkbampton, Little Bampton, Oughterby and Studholme.

Barbon is a village and civil parish in Cumbria, England. According to the 2001 census it had a population of 263, which decreased to 236 according to the 2011 Census. The church is dedicated to St Bartholomew. The village is about north of Kirkby Lonsdale and north of Casterton. Barbon Beck flows through, and takes its name from the village before flowing into the River Lune. The A683 road passes to the west of the village between Kirkby Lonsdale and Sedbergh. The village has been within the Yorkshire Dales National Park since 1 August 2016.

Abbeytown is the main village in the civil parish of Holme Abbey in the Cumberland district of Cumbria, England. The parish was historically called Holme Cultram. The modern names of Abbeytown and Holme Abbey both reference Holmcultram Abbey, which was founded in 1150 and dissolved in 1538; the surviving nave from the abbey now serves as the parish church. The parish of Holme Abbey had a population of 757 at the 2021 census.
