Tarhuna
Tarhuna (; ), also Tarhoona or Tarhunah, is a Libyan village to the southeast of Tripoli, in the Murqub District. The Tarhuna District, including the city of Msallata, had an urban population of about 296,000 (est. 2003). The population in Tarhuna proper was calculated to be 13,264 in 2011.

Jaghbub
Jaghbub (; ) is a remote desert village in the Al Jaghbub Oasis in the eastern Libyan Desert. It is actually closer to the Egyptian town of Siwa than to any Libyan town of note. The oasis is located in Butnan District and was the administrative seat of the Jaghbub Basic People's Congress. Qatrun, Al Katrun, Gatrone, or Al Gatrun () is a village in the Murzuq District in southern Libya on the main road to Chad and Niger. Niger maintains a consulate office there. When the border checkpoint 310 kilometres south at Tumu is closed, travelers crossing into Libya from Niger report in at Qatrun.

Gazala
Gazala, or ʿAyn al-Ġazāla ( ), is a small Libyan village near the coast in the northeastern portion of the country. It is located west of Tobruk.

Mashashita (المشاشطة) is a village in Libya, about west of Tripoli. It is known for olive trees, palm trees, and some vegetables. The town has a mosque, called Salem Almashat Mosque, which is estimated to be 400 years old. Mashashita is located within the administrative district of Tripoli.

Harawa
Harawa ( ''''), is a village in the desert in the Sirte District in Libya. As of 2010, it had 2,600 inhabitants. It is 50 kilometres east of the city of Sirte. As part of the Libyan Civil War, rebel forces claimed on 1 September 2011 that the village had surrendered and by 3 September rebel forces had occupied Harawa. However, these reports proved false and it was not until 17 September that the town fell to the forces of the National Transitional Council.

Charruba or Kharruba () is a village in northeastern Libya. It is located south of Al Marj, and west of Timimi. It is linked with Timimi by the Charruba-Timimi desert road, and with Tacnis (to the north) by an indirect road.
Zizau
Zizau or Zezow () is a village in the Murzuk Desert in Murzuq District in southwest Libya. It is located east of Murzuk and just to the southwest of Funqul. A good high road is said to connect Zizau to Traghan, with frequent incrustations of salt. The village was visited by western explorers in 1822-24 who described it at the time as having "merely a few huts".
