Ísafjarðarbær () is a municipality of Iceland in the Westfjords region, created in 1996 from Flateyrarhreppur, Ísafjarðarkaupstaður, Mosvallahreppur, Mýrahreppur, Suðureyrarhreppur and Þingeyrarhreppur.

Dynjandi (, also known as Fjallfoss ) is a waterfall located in Arnarfjörður in the Westfjords region of Iceland. It is the largest waterfall in the Westfjords and has a total height of . Below it are five other waterfalls: Háifoss, Úðafoss, Göngufoss, Hundafoss and Bæjarfoss.

Vesturbyggð () is a municipality located in the Westfjords in Iceland. The municipality includes the towns of Patreksfjörður, with 721 inhabitants; Tálknafjörður, with 261 inhabitants; Bíldudalur, with 238 inhabitants; and Krossholt, with 19 inhabitants. The municipality is served by Patreksfjörður Airport and Bíldudalur Airport.

Látrabjarg
Látrabjarg () is a promontory in the Westfjords of Iceland, and the westernmost point in Iceland. The cliffs are home to millions of birds, including puffins, northern gannets, guillemots and razorbills. It is vital for their survival as it hosts up to 40% of the world population for some species such as the razorbill. It is Europe's largest bird cliff, 14 km long and up to 440 m high. In 2026 a solar eclipse will be visible at Látrabjarg.

Æðey
Æðey (; Eider Island) is an island located in the Westfjords region of Iceland. A höfuðból was built in the 19th century with a farm, with descendants of the family going to the house in the summer to maintain the farm. Other structures include a lighthouse and a weather station owned by the Icelandic Meteorological Office.

The Jökulfirðir (, "glacier fjords") form a system of five fjords in Westfjords, Iceland, situated north of Ísafjarðardjúp and south of the Hornstrandir peninsula. They are named for Drangajökull, a glacier situated to the southeast of the fjords.

Skutulsfjörður is the westernmost fjord branching off the major Icelandic fjord of Ísafjarðardjúp. The town of Ísafjörður is located in the fjord. Two main valleys enter from Skutulsfjörður, Engidalur and Tungudalur, separated by the mountain Kubbi. On the far north side of Engidalur is the Ísafjörður cemetery. The river Langá flows through Engidalur. In Tungudalur, the town's golf course and ski area. There is a golf course and ski area in Tungudal, but from it the Vestfjarðagöng tunnel is dug across to Botnsdalur in Súgandafjörður and Breið
Aðalvík
Aðalvík is a bay located in the southwest part of Hornstrandir on Iceland. The bay splits into three main locations, the former fishing villages of Látrar (120 inhabitants in 1920) and Sæból (80 inhabitants in 1900) and Miðvík. All of the settlements were abandoned in the middle of the 20th century. The last inhabitants moved from Látrum and Sæból in October 1952. In Sæból and on the mountain above it, named Darri, the British occupation force built a military base during World War II, which remains can still be seen, including remains of anti-aircraft guns, buildings, roads and railway tracks
Borgarey
Borgarey () is a small, uninhabited island in the Westfjords in the north-west of Iceland. It is the innermost and smallest island of Ísafjarðardjúp, smaller than both Æðey and Vigur. Human settlement is limited, inter alia, by the lack of fresh water. The island is the property of the church in Vatnsfjörður; thus since there is no separation of church and state, it is public property. Nobody lives on the island, but in summer the owners sail over to it and collect eiderdown.

Hornvík is bay in Hornstrandir, Iceland, which lies between Hælavíkurbjarg and Hornbjarg. The bay hosted three settlements, Horn (deserted 1946), Höfn (deserted 1944) and Rekavík bak Höfn (deserted 1944).
Fljótavík
Fljótavík () is a wide bay in the far north-west of Hornstrandir, in the Westfjords region in Iceland. It is a part of the nature reserve Hornstrandafriðland (status granted in 1975) which covers the northernmost tip of the Hornstrandir peninsula.
