Flickr ( ) is an image and video hosting service, as well as an online community, founded in Canada and headquartered in the United States. It was created by Ludicorp in 2004 and was for a time a common way for amateur and professional photographers to host high-resolution photos. Flickr was owned by Yahoo! from 2005 and has been owned by SmugMug since 2018.

GeoCities, later Yahoo! GeoCities, was a web hosting service that allowed users to create and publish websites free of charge, and to browse user-created websites by their theme or interest, active from 1994 to 2009. GeoCities was started in November 1994 by David Bohnett and John Rezner, and was named Beverly Hills Internet briefly before being renamed GeoCities. On January 28, 1999, it was acquired by Yahoo!, at which time it was reportedly the third-most-visited website on the World Wide Web.

RocketMail was one of the first major free webmail services. The service was originally a product of Four11 Corporation. For a brief time, RocketMail battled with Hotmail for the number-one spot among free webmail services. Four11, including RocketMail, was acquired by Yahoo! in 1997 for $92 million. Yahoo! assimilated the RocketMail engine. Yahoo! Mail was essentially the old RocketMail Webmail system.

Qwiki was a New York City–based startup automated video production company acquired by Yahoo! on July 2, 2013 for a reported $50 million. Qwiki released an iPhone app that automatically turns the pictures and videos from a user's camera roll into movies to share. The company's initial product, an iPad application that created video summaries of over 3 million search terms, was downloaded more than 3 million times and named by Apple as the best "Search and Reference" application of 2011.

Cooliris, Inc. was a US corporation headquartered in San Francisco, California, that developed photo viewing products on mobile, web, and desktop platforms. It was a venture backed by Kleiner, Perkins, Caufield & Byers, T-Venture, DAG Ventures, The Westly Group and NTT DOCOMO.

Maktoob () was an online services company founded in Amman, Jordan. Maktoob.com was known as the first ArabicEnglish email service provider. In 2009, Yahoo! acquired Maktoob.com, making it Yahoo!'s official arm in the MENA region. As of 31 January 2023, Yahoo! Maktoob has been shut down; and therefore no longer publishes content.
