Zahna-Elster

Zahna () is a town and a former municipality in Wittenberg district in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany not far from Federal Highway (Bundesstraße) B 2 and about 11 km east of Lutherstadt Wittenberg. It was the seat of the former administrative community (Verwaltungsgemeinschaft) of Elbaue-Fläming. Since 1 January 2011, it is part of the town Zahna-Elster.

Zahna-Elster () is a town in the district of Wittenberg, in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. It was formed on 1 January 2011 by the merger of the former municipalities Zahna, Dietrichsdorf, Elster (Elbe), Gadegast, Leetza, Listerfehrda, Mühlanger, Zemnick and Zörnigall. On 29 May 2013 the incorporation of Mühlanger was reverted as a result of a decision of the Constitutional court of Saxony-Anhalt, but it was incorporated again on 1 January 2014. These former municipalities are now the 9 Ortschaften (municipal divisions) of the town Zahna-Elster.

Mühlanger is a village and a former municipality in Wittenberg district in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. Since 1 January 2014, it is part of the town Zahna-Elster. From 1 January 2011 until 29 May 2013, it was also part of Zahna-Elster, but this was reverted by court decision. Previously the municipality belonged to the administrative municipality (Verwaltungsgemeinschaft) of Elbaue-Fläming.

From 1 January 2005 until January 2011 the municipality belonged to the administrative municipality (Verwaltungsgemeinschaft) of Elbaue-Fläming, and before that to the administrative municipality of Mühlengrund.
