Zoutleeuw

Zoutleeuw (; ) is a municipality and city in the Hageland, in the extreme east of the Belgian province of Flemish Brabant. On 1 January 2018 the municipality had 8,498 inhabitants. The total area is 46.73 km2, giving a population density of 182 inhabitants per km2.

Dormaalocyon ("dog from Dormaal") is an extinct genus of placental mammals from clade Carnivoraformes, that lived in Europe during the early Eocene. The type species, Dormaalocyon latouri, was discovered when fossils were unearthed in the village of Dormaal, near Zoutleeuw, in the Belgian province of Flemish Brabant.

Halle-Booienhoven is a section of the municipality of Zoutleeuw, in the province of Flemish Brabant, Belgium. It was a municipality in its own right before the merger of the municipalities in 1977.
