One Roman copper alloy armour scale from a 'lorica squamata'. The scale consists of a flat sheet of copper alloy. The sheet is roughly rectangular in shape. At one end, the sheet has two circular stamped perforations which are not regularly spaced. The other end is slightly rounded and has a central hemispherical cut out. The scale measures 27.34mm in length and 18.56mm in width.
