A fragment of a copper-alloy with iron plate armour or lorica segmentata representing one half of a lobate hinge. The opposing half and the bronze pin that would have hinged the two halves is missing. The mount is an inverted pelta-shape with three lobes leading from the narrow tip of the pelta. There are two copper alloy rivets on the expanded end of the pelta and one rivet in the centre of each of the three lobes. Around each of the rivets are stamped concentric circles.
