Cast copper alloy ornamental shield. Medieval to Post-Medieval in date. Gold gilt on both sides although gilt only remains largely only on the front. On the front of the object there is a pellet filled border between the outer edge and the inner raised shield relief. The inner shield is decorated with a recurring lozenge pattern with raised pellets marking each lozenge point.
