A fragment of mosaic, probably Roman, comprising marble tessera set within mortar (AD43-410). This fragment of mosaic consists of 20 tessera made from a crystalline marble; 8 are orange/red, 4 are black and 8 are white. The tessera have been cut into irregular cubes and two are much thinner fragments to fit into gaps between the cubes.
