A copper alloy hinge probably from a piece of armour or a helmet dating from the medieval period. The object is 55.96mm long, 47.4mm wide and 9.38mm thick. It weighs 26.98g. It consists of a piece of sheet copper alloy with severely damaged edges, riveted with two rivets to a hinge. The thicker sheet of copper alloy has been bent double to form the tubular hinge and has a rectangular plate with opposing semicircular notches forming a neck before the hinge.
