A copper-alloy object of uncertain date and function. Probably a scale from a Roman suit of armour. The object is sub-rectangular in shape and measures 40.1mm long by 24.2mm wide, at the wider end, narrowing to 19.8mm wide at the opposite end. It is 0.8mm thick and weighs 5.07g. There are two small circular holes, located one at each corner of the wider end. The piece is damaged and incomplete.
