This is an unmounted print of an aquatint engraving entitled ‘Reapers’ and shows a harvest scene. The foreground shows several figures – a young man holding a scythe talking to a woman sitting under a tree with a baby on her lap and a little girl at her knee; another young man holding a sheaf of wheat talking to a young woman who ties the sheaf. In the background, there are several reapers at work in the fields, watched by a man on horseback. The picture was painted by Richard Westall (1765–1836
