A Medieval to Post Medieval cast lead alloy uniface circular token. Powell Type 14. The token has a raised design of a crude long cross with a pellet in each quarter, probably meant to imitate a Medieval long cross penny. The reverse is blank. The token measures 17.7 mm in diameter, 2.2 mm thick and weighs 3.67 grams.Lead tokens had a wide variety of uses and were made locally; they are therefore difficult to date precisely and this example could be Medieval or Post Medieval in date (1250-1850 A
