A corroded fragment of a copper-alloy Roman lobate hinged fitting from Corbridge type lorica segmentata armour, dating to the first or second centuries AD. This artefact is formed of two flat plates which have broken short of the hinge component, but which are sub-rectangular at the main body before narrowing to then expand into trifoliate lobes.
