A Medieval to Post Medieval cast lead alloy uniface circular token. The token has a raised cross design probably meant to imitate a Medieval long cross penny with the remains of one pellet in each quarter. The reverse is blank. It measures 19.9 mm in diameter, 2 mm thick and weighs 4.66 grams.Lead tokens had a wide variety of uses and were made locally; they are therefore difficult to date precisely and could be Medieval or Post Medieval in date (1250-1850 AD).
