Design for a chimney-piece and over-mantel with an English Palladian form and rococo decoration. The drawing has scored lines and is worked up in very high detail. The over- mantel has a medallion showing a scene with a mounted huntsman chasing a deer in the background and in the foreground a fox barking up at a cock perched on a tree. This may be the fable of the Fox and the Cock from Aesop's fables. The medallion is surrounded by scrolling acanthus leaaves and flower swags.
