Costume designed by Peter Hall for Steve Elson, for David Bowie's <i>Serious Moonlight</i> tour, 1983. <b>Part 1: Shirt</b> A teal blue satin shirt with a high neck collar and billowed sleeves. <b>Part 2: Trousers</b> A pair of black cotton wide leg trousers. <b>Part 3: Hat </b> A black fleece bucket hat with a swirling material pattern. <b>Parts 4 and 5: Shoes</b> A pair of black lace-up leather jazz shoes with leather and rubber soles. <b>Part 6: Belt</b> A black belt with silver studs and buckle. <b>Parts 7 -10: Socks</b> Two pairs of black cotton socks, one of which has been darned using red and green thread. <b>Parts 11 and 12: Bags</b> A long clear plastic garment bag and smaller clear plastic accessories bag labelled with the wearer's name.
