In the Roles series, Peng Yi meticulously layered molten glass threads as a metaphor for power and responsibility. Peng created sculptures inspired by the designs of crowns and tiaras worn by the British monarchy, pushing the material boundaries of lampworked glass and imbuing the work with an alluring but fragile quality.
