A design for a delicate rococo mantelpiece and overmantel. The mantelpiece has a 'cabriole leg' vertical and a rococo cartouche to the centre. This supports an elaborate rococo acanthus spray to the bottom corner of the overmantel mirror. The mirror is divided vertically into three with a larger central section separated by rococo moulding. Up the outside are acanthus sprays, and elaborate rococo moulding with leaves and flowers scrolling up the shoulders to frame two cartouches, one above the other, on the crest.
