Etymology: Borrowed from Italian anatripsologia, coined by Valeriano Luigi Brera in 1799, from Ancient Greek ἀνάτριψις (anátripsis, “rubbing”) + -λογῐ́ᾱ (-logĭ́ā).
- The study or application of friction or rubbing as a remedy.
