Etymology: Borrowed from Russian борзо́й (borzój), from бо́рзый (bórzyj, “swift”), from Proto-Indo-European *mréǵʰus (whence English brief, brace and merry).

1. A dog of a particular breed, similar in shape to a greyhound but with longer silkier hair.
