Etymology: Borrowed from Gujarati બંગલો (baṅglo, “Bengali-style house; a detached house situated between a garden or a field”). Compare Hindi बंगला (baṅglā, “Bengali”), Bengali বাংলা (baṅla, “Bengal”). Doublet of bangalo.
