adv

Etymology: From degrading + -ly.

  1. In a degrading manner.

It is an offence to the dignity of workers to pay them degradingly low wages. What constitutes a degradingly low wage will, of course, be affected by the standards of the time; it is a relative as much as an absolute idea.
