    The doctrine of the immortality, the indestructibility, of the soul is responsible for the traditional view that the wicked are kept alive in unending misery through all eternity.

    As from the years of four to eight there is great danger that overemphasis of the activities of the Yet, in its liquid and gaseous state, matter often exhibits still more extraordinary instances of indestructibility or resistance to decomposition ; and it should be especially remarked, that its indestructibility or indecomposable power appears to hold a direct proportion to its subtilty, its levity, its activity, its refined ethereal or spiritualized modification of being.
