Etymology: From seropositive + -ity, or sero- + positivity.

  1. The quality or state of being seropositive, of having blood serum that tests positive for a given pathogen, especially HIV.

Pretest probability inversely correlates with the probability that the reported seropositivity is a false-positive.

As discussed above, because of the severe consequences of HIV infection, a few states have required that ARC and even seropositivity be reported.

  2. Seropositivity prevalence rate: synonym of seroprevalence.

At first, the prophylaxis budgeting efforts were triaged to the areas with the highest seropositivity.
