nifedipine
Nifedipine ( ), sold under the brand name Procardia among others, is a calcium channel blocker medication used to manage angina, high blood pressure, Raynaud's phenomenon, and premature labor. It is one of the treatments of choice for Prinzmetal angina. It may be used to treat severe high blood pressure in pregnancy. Its use in preterm labor may allow more time for steroids to improve the baby's lung function and provide time for transfer of the mother to a well-qualified medical facility before delivery. It is a calcium channel blocker of the dihydropyridine type. Nifedipine is taken by mouth
(RS)-nisoldipine
Nisoldipine is a pharmaceutical drug used for the treatment of chronic angina pectoris and hypertension. It is a calcium channel blocker of the dihydropyridine class. It is sold in the United States under the proprietary name Sular. Nisoldipine has tropism for cardiac blood vessels.
2-nitrocinnamaldehyde
2-Nitrocinnamaldehyde, '''ortho-nitrocinnamaldehyde or o-nitrocinnamaldehyde''' is an organic aromatic compound containing a nitro group ortho- to the 1-position of cinnamaldehyde.
o-dinitrobenzene
1,2-Dinitrobenzene is one of three isomers of dinitrobenzene, with the formula C6H4(NO2)2. The compound is a white or colorless solid that is soluble in organic solvents. It is prepared from 2-nitroaniline by diazotization and treatment with sodium nitrite in the presence of a copper catalyst.
2-nitrophenyl beta-D-galactoside
'''ortho-Nitrophenyl-β-galactoside (ONPG''') is a colorimetric and spectrophotometric substrate for detection of β-galactosidase activity. This compound is normally colorless. However, if β-galactosidase is present, it hydrolyzes the ONPG molecule into galactose and ortho-nitrophenol. The latter compound has a yellow color that can be used to check for enzyme activity by means of a colorimetric assay (at 420 nm wavelength). β-Galactosidase is required for lactose utilization, so the intensity of the color produced can be used as a measure of the enzymatic rate.
2-nitrodiphenylamine
2-Nitrodiphenylamine is an organic chemical with the formula . It is a nitrated derivative of diphenylamine. It is a red solid, usually found in form of flakes or powder. It is polar but hydrophobic.
1-(2-nitrophenoxy)octane
1-(2-Nitrophenoxy)octane, also known as nitrophenyl octyl ether and abbreviated NPOE, is a chemical compound that is used as a matrix in fast atom bombardment mass spectrometry, liquid secondary ion mass spectrometry, and as a highly lipophilic plasticizer in polymer membranes used in ion selective electrodes.
aranidipine
Aranidipine (INN, trade name Sapresta) is a calcium channel blocker. It is a dihydropyridine derivative with two active metabolites (M-1α and M-1β). It was developed by Maruko Seiyaku and has the formula methyl 2-oxopropyl 1,4-dihydro-2,6-dimethyl-4-(2-nitrophenyl)-3,5-pyridinedicarboxylate. Its main use is as a hypotensive, reducing blood pressure.
