Sachertorte
Sachertorte is a chocolate sponge cake covered with chocolate glaze and filled with apricot jam. The apricot jam is either under the glaze or in the middle of two sponge layers. The cake was invented by the Austrian Franz Sacher, either in 1832 for Austrian chancellor Klemens von Metternich, or in the 1840s.

Prinzregententorte
Prinzregententorte () is a Bavarian torte consisting of at least six, usually seven, thin layers of sponge cake interlaid with chocolate buttercream, and a covering of a dark chocolate glaze. The cake is widely regarded as a specialty of Bavarian cuisine and is commonly available in confectioneries throughout Bavaria.
