Phoneutria
thumb|in Ecuador Phoneutria is a genus of spiders in the family Ctenidae. They are mainly found in northern South America, with one species in Central America. Members of the genus are commonly referred to as Brazilian wandering spiders. Other English names include armed spiders (armadeiras in Brazilian Portuguese) and banana spiders (a name shared with several others).

Montescueia
Montescueia is a monotypic genus of South American wandering spiders containing the single species, Montescueia leitaoi. The male was described by R. U. Carcavallo & A. Martínez in 1961, but no female has been described yet. It has only been found in Argentina.
Bengalla
Bengalla is a monotypic genus of Australian wandering spiders containing the single species, Bengalla bertmaini. It was first described by Michael R. Gray & Judith A. Thompson in 2001, and has only been found in Australia. It was originally assigned to the superfamily "Lycosoidea", but not to any actual family. In 2003, it was tentatively moved to the Ctenidae because of its apparent relationship to Janusia, another Australian monotypic genus of wandering spiders.

Wiedenmeyeria is a monotypic genus of South American wandering spiders containing the single species, Wiedenmeyeria falconensis. It was first described by E. Schenkel in 1953, and has only been found in Venezuela.
