Flavanonols

Taxifolin (5,7,3',4'-flavan-on-ol), also known as dihydroquercetin, belongs to the subclass flavanonols in the flavonoids, which in turn is a class of polyphenols. It is extracted from plants such as Siberian larch and milk thistle.

Pinobanksin is an antioxidant bioflavonoid (specifically a flavanonol, a category of flavonol) that inhibits peroxidation of low density lipoprotein and it has electron donor properties reducing alpha-tocopherol radicals. It is present in sunflower honey.

Aromadendrin (aromodendrin or dihydrokaempferol) is a flavanonol, a type of flavonoid. It can be found in the wood of Pinus sibirica.

Ampelopsin, also known as dihydromyricetin and DHM, when used as an herbal medicine, is a flavanonol, a type of flavonoid. It is extracted from the Japanese raisin tree and found in Ampelopsis species japonica, megalophylla, and grossedentata; Cercidiphyllum japonicum; Hovenia dulcis; Rhododendron cinnabarinum; some Pinus species; and some Cedrus species, as well as in Salix sachalinensis.

Dihydromorin is a flavanonol, a type of flavonoid. It can be found in plants of the family Moraceae including Morus nigra (Black mulberry), in Morus alba, Maclura pomifera (Maclura aurantiaca or Osage-Orange), in the jackfruit (Artocarpus heterophyllus) and in Artocarpus dadah.

Garbanzol is a flavanonol, a type of flavonoid. It can be found in the seed of Cicer arietinum (Bengal gram), in the shoot of Phaseolus lunatus (butter bean) and in the root of Pterocarpus marsupium (Bastard teak).

Fustin, sometimes called "dihydrofisetin", is a flavanonol, a type of flavonoid. It can be found in young fustic (Cotinus coggygria) and in the lacquer tree (Toxicodendron vernicifluum).
