Mucorales
The Mucorales is the largest and best-studied order of zygomycete fungi. Members of this order are sometimes called pin molds. The term mucormycosis is now preferred for infections caused by molds belonging to the order Mucorales.
Entomophthorales
The Entomophthorales are an order of fungi that were previously classified in the class Zygomycetes. A new subdivision, Entomophthoromycotina, in 2007, was circumscribed for them.
Zoopagales
The Zoopagales is an order of fungi in the subdivision Zoopagomycotina. Most species are parasites or predators of microscopic creatures such as amoebae. They also prey on rotifers. The order contains 5 families, 22 genera, and 190 species.

Glomerales is an order of symbiotic fungi within the phylum Glomeromycota.
Chytridiales
Fungi of the order Chytridiales, like other members of its division, may either have a monocentric thallus or a polycentric rhizomycelium. When the ribosomal genes of members classified in this order were first examined using molecular techniques, it was discovered that the order contained some species that were not related. With the culture and characterization of Chytridium olla, the type species of this order, the limits of the Chytridiales were established. The Chytridiales is now monophyletic and species such as Polychytrium aggregatum, Chytriomyces angularis and Cladochytrium replicatum

Endogonales is an order of fungi within the phylum of Zygomycota, and in class Endogonomycetes.
Harpellales
The Harpellales are an order of fungi classified in the subdivision Kickxellomycotina. Thalli are either unbranched or branched, producing basipetal series of trichospores. Zygospores are biconical. Species in the order are found attached to the gut lining of aquatic larvae of Insecta or (rarely) Isopoda. Harpellales are divided into two families, the Harpellaceae and the Legeriomycetaceae. According to the Dictionary of the Fungi (10th edition, 2008), the order contains 38 genera and 200 species. The order was formally described in 1978 Mycotaxon publication. Dimargaritales is a monotypic order of fungi in the monotypic Dimargaritomycetes class within the subdivision of Kickxellomycotina.
Diversisporales
The Diversisporales are an order of generally hypogeous (underground) arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi within the division Glomeromycota. Many have vesicles for energy storage, or auxiliary cells. Species produce a wide range of spore types, hence the name.
Rhizophydiales
Rhizophydiales are an important group of chytrid fungi. They are found in soil as well as marine and fresh water habitats where they function as parasites and decomposers.
Archaeosporales
Archaeosporales is an order of fungi best known as arbuscular mycorrhiza to vascular land plants (Tracheophyta). But also form free living endocyte symbioses with cyanobacteria. The free living forms may have a Precambrian fossil record back 2.2 Ga, well before evolution of Tracheophyta. However, the earliest fossils of Opisthokonta otherwise date back to the early Tonian, thus making this possibility questionable.
Spizellomycetales
Spizellomycetales is an order of fungi in the Chytridiomycetes. Spizellomycetalean chytrids are essentially ubiquitous zoospore-producing fungi found in soils where they decompose pollen. Recently they have also been found in dung and harsh alpine environments, greatly expanding the range of habitats where one can expect to find these fungi.

Paraglomerales
The Paraglomerales are a group of exclusively hypogeous (underground) arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi that rarely produce vesicles and reproduce through unpigmented spores. It includes the species Paraglomus brasilianum, Paraglomus laccatum, and Paraglomus occultum.
Cladochytriales
Cladochytriales is an order of chytrid fungi. It is the only order in the monotypic class Cladochytriomycetes. The order was described in 2009 to accommodate a monophyletic clade containing many genera of chytrid fungi often observed growing over decaying plant tissue and other cellulosic substrates from aquatic habitats and humid soils.
Chytridiopsida
Chytridiopsida is an order of microsporidians in the monotypic class Chytridiopsidea.
